KeysteadOne secure place for everything your partner, CPA, successor, or family would need to keep it running, or take it over.

KeysteadBuild and preview your whole vault for 14 days — exports and the live successor handoff unlock when your paid year starts. We’ll only charge your card when the trial ends — cancel before then and pay nothing. After that, a 30-day money-back guarantee has you covered.
KeysteadThe one place your family, partner, or CPA would look first — the EIN, the returns, the insurance, the key contacts, and how a successor reaches every login, so no one starts from zero.
The EIN in an old Google Drive. Last year’s return buried in your inbox. The bank login only you know. It all works — because you’re the one holding it together. But this Friday, if you couldn’t get to your desk, the honest answer is “nobody knows where anything is.” That’s not a plan. It’s a single point of failure, and it’s you.
No partner or successor lined up? It’s still someone’s to untangle — your spouse, your family, your accountant. This is the map you leave them.
One secure place for everything they'd need — set it up once, keep it current, and stop carrying it all in your head. You can see exactly what's inside just below.
Same vault, three depths — a simple handoff, a records vault, or a complete operating picture that keeps every deadline and detail in one place (alongside the tools you already use, not replacing them). Fill in only what earns its place.
Fill in only what earns its place — a successor, a buyer, or your CPA finds it all in one spot. One subscription holds all your businesses — you don't set one up per business.
You've probably got pieces of this already — a "hit by a bus" doc, a password manager, maybe an attorney's binder. Keep them. Keystead doesn't replace them; it's the connective layer that makes them usable by someone else on the day you can't explain them. Three things a doc and a password manager can't do:
Your password manager holds the keys. Keystead is the map — which key opens which door, in what order, and who to call first. We point to where your logins live; we never copy them.
A vault full of passwords is exactly what gets hacked. So Keystead holds the map instead — where each login lives and the one key a successor needs to open it. They get in; we never become the thing worth breaking into.
Your vault is isolated in the database itself — a separate layer from the app, so one customer’s account can’t be served another’s data even if the app’s own checks failed.
An append-only activity log records who changed what — it can’t be edited or rewritten through the app, so a successor or advisor can always trust the record.
And if Keystead ever went away? Your vault is yours to take with you. While your plan is active you can export the whole thing as a PDF, CSV, or full backup — and if we ever had to wind the service down, we’d give you clear notice and a final export first. A continuity tool shouldn’t be a single point of failure, so we made sure it isn’t.
I'm the COO of ENGAGE CPAs, and I still do hands-on tax and accounting work — so I keep watching people who've built something real put it at risk for one avoidable reason: none of it is written down anywhere someone else could reach. Keystead Vault is what I kept wishing existed — one secure place an owner fills in once, so a family member, a successor, or their accountant is never left guessing.
We’re onboarding our very first owners and CPA firms right now. Real customer stories will live here — join early and one of them could be yours. We’ll never post a quote we didn’t earn.
Fill your whole vault for free — the EIN, the returns, the logins, all of it. You only pay when you’re ready to export it or turn on the live successor handoff. It’s $100 a year per business — capped at $300, however many you own, with your personal tax vault included and everyone you invite free.
Stop chasing the same documents every February. One organized vault per client, kept current by them, your firm granted access by email domain.
Whether you're planning to sell, thinking about stepping back, or just being smart about the unexpected, Keystead Vault is the one place that holds what the next person would need, ready long before anyone has to look for it.
